A Remarkable Story of Healing

My name is Bob. I am 57 years old. Thirteen years ago I was diagnosed with anaplastic thyroid carcinoma and told I had 90 days to live. My disease state was one that had no protocol or treatment successes. At 43, I thought my story was coming to a quick end. With friends and family to keep me as positive as I could be, I took on an optimistic, naïve outlook on the future.

I can strongly recommend Debbie as a highly-skilled, trained, loving practitioner who facilitates transformation. She has an uncanny ability to know the precise opening needed for significant growth asking excellent questions to encourage introspection, while respecting boundaries. She gently, yet assuredly, guides the terminal client toward resolution(s) in a number of ways. Debbie actively listens to her clients' concerns lending helpful insights. By listening with both her heart and mind, she is able to facilitate phenomenal movement for change. If indicated, she does hands-on healing which incorporates her vast experience utilizing energy medicine. Debbie is a precious gift in the healing arts community.

The treatment protocol sounded reasonable but extreme: radiation and chemo, only with a twist. The radiation regiment was experimental and could prove fatal. Intense radiation twice daily, 7 days a week, and chemo once a week for almost 5 months. The chemo, although highly toxic, was nothing in comparison to the high levels of radiation. Truly, the treatment protocol was pure hell! My days and nights turned from fear to unimaginable pain, nausea, and fatigue. Morphine did not begin to ease the pain I was experiencing. I could not even swallow my own saliva. It was like swallowing a razor blade. My anxiety was at an all time high. Pain had overtaken all reasonable thought. If I was not medicated to the point of being totally unconscious, I was suffering.

I felt she was one of my more 'eclectic' friends. Deb mixed spirituality with energy in our conversations prior to my illness. It all sounded great, but a little far-fetched.

This is where Debbie Taylor enters the mix. A longtime neighbor and acquaintance (our kids grew up together), my feelings for Deb were fond, but I felt she was one of my more 'eclectic' friends. Deb mixed spirituality with energy in the conversations we shared prior to my illness. It all sounded great, but a little far-fetched in my mind. Nonetheless, it was enjoyable to hear of her success with patients she engaged as a trauma room chaplain at the children's hospital. Yet, I, in no way, thought any of this could be applied to me. (Nice neighbor with good intentions, but what was she thinking?) I was sick and probably dying.

One night, I was so sick and in so much pain I couldn't stand it a minute longer: I called her. She was at my side minutes later. Somehow, she knew the pain I was in. She understood it better than others around me. She NEVER told me to "just relax and everything would be okay." Instead, she told me that she was going to do 'energy work' on me to help me get through the night. It would ease the pain and nausea enough to provide rest. My pain had now become a 24-hour beast. The concept felt crazy to me so I resisted at first, but finally, either from persuasion or pain-overwhelm, I submitted to Debbie's calming voice, touch and presence. After about an hour of her at my side, I felt better! The odd thing was that I also felt somewhat more connected to her. This is absolutely unexplainable and went against most of my traditional beliefs about everything that was not proven science. As the treatment protocol dragged on for 4 more months, Debbie was there whenever I needed her – whatever time, hospital or home, she was just there if I needed her.

As the radiation built up in my system, I became much sicker. The twice-a-day regimen was taking its toll on my body as severe burns, constant pain, and extreme anxiety. The thought of getting on the narrow radiation table and being elevated 7 feet off the ground to be targeted from 8 different angles twice a day (with only a 5-hour interval) was getting the best of me. My nerves were fraying. I was falling apart. That is when Debbie introduced me to BLUE.

She said, "Engulf yourself in Blue. Be intentional and develop your mental power. See your entire bloodstream, every muscle, every nerve, every fiber, every cell all turning the color Blue. Effect change by re-programming your body with healing messages. Use the power of your mind to counteract your fear, pain, and save your life."

I told my family, "I don't think I can do this anymore." Debbie told me I could. That's when she taught me 'how to use' the color Blue. I was not sure if my mind was going at this point, or if Deb had lost it herself. She explained to me that Blue was a healing color that could alter what was happening in my body. The minute I was strapped in on the table (i.e., a plastic mesh mask with two eye holes and two nostrils holes was bolted down to the board I was on) she told me to start visualizing the color Blue in my head. The radiation machine lets you know it was working with a low hum and red lights. In short, Debbie said, "The minute you hear the machine turn on, close your eyes, and begin. Engulf yourself in Blue. Visualize your infected cells changing to Blue. Be intentional and develop your mental power. See your entire bloodstream, every muscle, every nerve, every fiber, every cell all turning the color Blue. Effect change by re-programing your body with healing messages. Use the power of your mind to counteract your fear, pain, and save your life." With the last bit of strength I had, I took her advice. For the next 3 months, I found a discipline inside of me that was unstoppable. I don't think I could have gotten through the rest of it without my Blue. I know I could not have. Along with science, faith, medication, family, friends, Deb and Blue, I am one of 6 known survivors in the world today of this hideous disease.

I cannot explain what Debbie gave me, or the just plain "weird" connection we have. Somehow, along the way, she was able to sense me in my worst times. This is not made-up or coincidental. Her intuitive sense is somehow connected to my being. If I was 'in need' or in horrific pain, or simply just scared beyond reason, she either appeared in person or called saying, "I'm picking up activity around you. What is going on?" It was spot on! (Never once did she call or appear when she was not needed unless it was just a friendly visit.) Some of her visits were late at night or early in the morning. Whatever it required, my physical and mental pain somehow registered with her. She felt it and always acted on it.

Nine years later, I am cancer-free. Nine years later, Deb and I are thousands of miles apart. Nine years later, we are still very connected. With the crisis over, I assumed the connection would cease. I still get Debbie's calls... "I am 'picking you up' strong. Is everything okay?" But, fortunately now, she usually 'picks me up/connects' when things are going well, and I am extremely content. Lucky for me, she senses the good and the bad. We can go months without talking and, at the oddest times, I get the connection call. And, of course, there is always something happening at those times.
